Based on a historial Brescian instrument by deSala, this very interesting and beautiful viola by St. Louis area luthier, Shaun Fosdick, is sure to find a happy home. The body length is roughly 16 3/8 inchs, but with a slim neck (carbon fiber re-enforced), it is very comfortable to manuever on. The viola features back and sides made from Quaking Aspen (an American Poplar variety) and a Red Spruce top. Tastefully antiqued, this is a superb value for an American personal made instrument.
Tonally, this the instrument has a very open and robust tone. Rich and full in the lower registers, with a powerful and projecting A. Won't last long!
