Pablo Alfaro is a full-time maker and restorer based out of the Atlanta area. A graduate of the Taller de Lauderia at the University of Veracruzana in Xalapa, with continued studies in the USA. He is a regular attendee of the Oberlin Workshops (where Sam first met Pablo), as well as member of the AFVBMVSA, and many other violin organizations. With 40 awards in violin making under his belt, Pablo is a very sought after maker, known for his beautifully antiqued instruments which are consistently wonderful sounding. In addition, Pablo has a degree in violin performance and and a lovely sing voice which must be heard to believe! Truly a well rounded artist in every sense.

This violin, based on a late period del Gesu pattern is an elegant and beautiful example of Pablo's work. The tone is full of color and complexity, and really invites the player into a warm and subtle sound world. This instrument would be an excellent fit for the musician looking for a mature and wide sound palette that will draw the listeners to you. In addition, this violin won a Silver Medal at the 8th Concorso Internazionale Di Liuteria in Florence in 2017!
Highly recommended.
