The JonPaul "Bravo" bows are a unique blend of sophisticated engineering and craftsmanship all at an affordable price. Add on top of that, each stick is handcrafted right here in the USA - in Salt Lake City, Utah, by their team of bow makers.
Using a proprietary method of construction, the "Bravo" bows (and indeed their whole lineup of USA made sticks), are made as one contiguous piece of molded carbon. Many carbon fiber bows have joints near the head, which is a structural weak area to begin with - this is avoided with the Bravo line of bows.
Secondly, the metal tip (faceplate) is molded to the head of the bow during the manufacturing process. This is yet another area which is commonly broken or chipped away, and this helps to mitigate this from happening.
Thirdly, the handle end of the stick has been reinforced with a metal inserted sleeve to prevent cracking. While I have not seen many carbon bows break here, it is a very common area for cracking in wood bows.
If you are looking for a budget carbon bow, with a lot of high end features, look no further. In addition, each bow is balanced carefully to ensure a good playing feeling as well as sound.
